Welcome to Sublette County
Sublette County Wyoming is located in the western part of the state and covers approximately 3.2 million acres, 80 percent of which are public land. Incorporated towns include Big Piney, Marbleton and Pinedale being the county seat. Other communities include Bondurant, Boulder, Cora and Daniel.
The Wind River Range, Bridger-Teton Wilderness, Wyoming Range and Bridger-Teton National Forest are in close proximity. The Continental Divide spans over 140 miles along the entire spine of Wyoming’s Wind River Range, which is the largest mountain range in the state. The Wind Rivers boast 19 of Wyoming’s 20 highest peaks, over 180 active glaciers (including the largest glaciers in the Rockies), and over 3,000 pristine alpine lakes within its half-million acres of Federally-designated Wilderness. Pinedale is Wyoming’s first Continental Divide Trail Gateway Community.
With over 1,300 lakes throughout the County, water sports are also popular. Locals and visitors alike enjoy lake fishing, kayaking, boating, water skiing, wake boarding and sailing, to name a few. Most lakes offer campsites nearby.
